I'm talking about the inexpensive apartments. I have never rented seomthing over 50 euro/day in Spain. The situation may be different in other price segments.

I also have never rented apartments from any nationalities other than Spain and Russian, so I won't compare others.

And apparently every rule has its exclusions; I'm just trying to summarize.

1. Size. Spanish people sleep in the sleeping rooms, prepare meals in kitchens and watch TV in their living rooms. Therefore, traditional Spanish apartments are quite small. Russian people like spacious apartments with large rooms and lots of space.

2. Interior design. Spanish people love vivid colours. An orange living room, a bright green kitchen and a red or a highly saturated lilac are OK. Russians prefer pastel shades and apparently focus more on the interior design.

3. Houseware. Spanish people live here and often move things that they don;t like any more to the apartments for rent. A small TV is not a problem for me, but when there is no kettle or the washing machins is close to death, this, to my mind, is important. This is often true about the furniture, dishes etc. No, I have never seen real junk, but sometimes it's quite close to being it.

In general, the apartments for rent (here in costa del Sol) normally have beautiful views, are close to beaches (sometimes you need a car) and all are great in some aspect. And i will write about 3 reasons to rent apartments from Spanish people, too :)
